As the 2025 UFL season is at its midway point, it’s time for Alt-Football Digest to unveil its Midseason All-UFL team. With the UFL proving itself to be an adequate platform for players to showcase their talents, the 2025 Midseason All-UFL team has plenty of players making their impact for the 2025 season in hopes of achieving NFL glory.
QB: Bryce Perkins Michigan Panthers
Man wouldn’t it have been great to put Dresser Winn here after one week of play? It only took 5 weeks but Head Coach Mike Nolan finally announced today that Perkins was “the guy” in Michigan. After several weeks of splitting reps Perkins still managed to put together Top-3 Passing Stats, in addition to being 13th in the league in rushing, and 2nd in the league in rushing touchdowns as well. With 5 games left in the season Perkins has an outside chance of eclipsing 2,000 passing yards and possibly 20 total touchdowns that could lead to MVP season.
RB: Kalen Ballage Arlington Renegades
It’s been a nice bounce back year for Ballage who currently leads the league in rushing. Ballage has taken the league by storm after not being rostered in 2024. Ballage has been a workhorse for Arlington, creating a balance attack that has them sitting 2nd in the XFL conference. Ballage at his age-29 may be putting enough good tape out there to possibly warrant another opportunity at the NFL level.
RB: Jacob Saylors St. Louis Battlehawks
I would argue during the first two weeks of the season Jacob Saylors was an MVP candidate himself. Whether it was on the ground or through the air, Saylors has continued to whether the storm in St. Louis and should be the focal point of their offense for the final 5 weeks of the season. Currently at 457 All-Purpose yards Saylors is primed to finish the UFL top 5 in Touchdowns and over 800 All-Purpose yards enroute to another NFL opportunity.
WR: Jonathan Adams Memphis Showboats
Not much to write here. Adams has been on of spring football’s best since entering the USFL with the New Orleans Breakers. While his week 5 performance wasn’t outstanding with the Showboats, with the switch to Dresser Winn at QB, look for Adams production to increase for the next 5 weeks of the season.
WR: Siaosi Mariner- Michigan Panthers
I had Mariner as a preseason All-UFL selection and over the past several weeks his input has increased. Mariner should continue to be “the guy” for the Panthers, between the trade of Marcus Simms, and the decision to have Bryce Perkins as their QB1.
WR Deon Cain- Birmingham Stallions
Cain has stepped up 10-fold this year, placing in the Top-5 in receiving and all-purpose yards for the Stallions, despite playing in only 4 games. Cain’s production as a Wide Receiver has continued to increase over the past couple weeks and no matter who's at QB should be over 1,000 all-purpose yards once again this year.
WR: Chris Rowland D.C. Defenders
Chris Rowland has been one of spring football’s most underrated receivers since his debut with the Stars in 2022. The do-it-all wideout, has been a threat as a running back, receiver, and returner surpassing 3,000 All-Purpose Yards in his career. With plenty of injuries in the Receiving Corps, and the Defenders not afraid to keep pushing the ball down the field, Rowland could surpass career highs as a receiver.
TE: Sal Cannella Arlington Renegades
After an All-USFL performance in 2022, Cannella was the 2nd best Tight End to Cody Latimer, and Jace Sternberger in 2023, and 2024 respectively. Cannella has distanced himself from any other Tight Ends so far in the UFL, placing 12th in the UFL overall, and 74 yards ahead of the next Tight End.
C: Mike Panasiuk- St. Louis Battlehawks
After converting to Center only a couple of years ago, Panasuik earned All-XFL and All-UFL honors despite being a novice at the position. Under new Offensive Line Coach Marc Colombo, Panasiuk continues to develop leading one of the best interior Offensive Line units in the league.
G: Steven Gonzalez- St. Louis Battlehawks
Gonzalez like Panasiuk has continued to be one of the UFL’s best, and when paired up with his Center continue to make good things happen for the Battlehawks rushing attack. Gonzalez has been one of PFF’s highest graded Offensive Linemen in the passing game, while also serving as an above average run blocker in the league.
G: Cohl Cabral- Michigan Panthers
Cabral like Gonzalez has been one of PFF’s highest graded Offensive Lineman consistently even being in the Top-5 for Panthers players multiple times. Cabral’s career has been volatile since coming out of school, between bouncing on and off practice squad’s, to be a starter to reserve player in 2024, to now back to elite status in the UFL.
T: Yasir Durant- D.C. Defenders
Durant’s versatility may not have graded him as high as others who stick to one position, but Durant improved mightily over the 2024 UFL season while continuing into 2025. He’s been one of the more consistent pieces on the Defenders Offensive Line, allowing Ta’amu to be a leader in most passing categories. Going into the age-27 Durant armed with the size and strength of a 6’7, 330 LB frame should easily become one of the UFL’s mauling Tackles for 2025.
T: Ryan Nelson- Michigan Panthers
Nelson has been a consistent and versatile player for the Panthers, now embracing his role as the blindside protector for Bryce Perkins. Nelson has been with the Panthers since 2023, and has finally come into his own this season grading as one of PFF’s better tackles in 2025 so far this season.
DE: Chris Odom- Arlington Renegades
After a yearlong hiatus from football recovering from a Torn-ACL, Odom earned an All-UFL selection in 2024. He’s continued his trend of placing 2nd in Sacks (4.0) and 1st in TFLs (8.0) so far this season. Odom also has fumble recovery for a touchdown as well, during a key moment in a conference game against the Battlehawks.
DE: Andre Mintze- D.C. Defenders
The UFL leader in Sacks (4.5) has been an amazing story for the Defenders, along with Derick Roberson. Mintze and Hines have been the leaders on the D.C. Defensive side of the ball both earning Player of the Week Honors this year.
DT: PJ Hall- Memphis Showboats
Hall’s impact may not always show up on the stat-sheet but he’s been a game changer when he hasn’t been available for the Showboats. Hall has been a disrupter in 2025 showing the flashes of potential that warranted a 2nd-round draft pick in 2018.
DT: Garrett Marino- Michigan Panthers
Marino is another player who’s play outweighs the stat-sheet. Marino like Hall has been a disrupter in the middle helping the rest of the Defensive Line room make up for the loss of Breeland Speaks.
LB: Anthony Hines- D.C. Defenders
Hines has “popped” in 2025 putting together his best season with the Defenders since joining the team in 2023. Earning a Defensive Player of the Week award, Hines like Mintze has been a key figure in the D.C. Defense, especially in their pass rush. He’s on pace to also surpass his Tackles total from 2024 as well, while being Top-5 in the league in sacks.
LB: Frank Ginda - Michigan Panthers
Ginda has bounced back and then some this season finding his way as a top Tacklers, while setting a career high in sacks mid-way through the season (2.5). The former USFL DPOY has been a huge piece to Michigan’s success and should continue to be as the 2025 comes to a close this year.
LB: Donald Payne- Arlington Renegades
Payne like Ginda, has also had a bounce back season this year terrorizing teams from the Linebacker spot. Placing Top-5 in Tackles in addition to TFLs, Payne continues his string of dominance in Alt-Football dating back to 2022 with the Houston Gamblers.
CB: Ajene Harris- Arlington Renegades
Harris like a couple players on this list should be a shoe-in to earn his 3rd consecutive All-League honors at the end of this season. The former USC Cornerback has been a menace both in both phases of Defense for Arlington, between leading the UFL in interceptions and pass defenses, Harris also is a Top-15 tackler in the league adding 2 TFLs as well.
CB: Chris Payton-Jones-St. Louis Battlehawks
I think “CPJ” was one of the more underrated DBs in the UFL coming into the season. With an injury to Brandon Sebastian, CPJ has stepped up this year placing second in pass defenses, while adding an interception.
S: Lukas Denis- St. Louis Battlehawks
Denis’ return to St. Louis has been a major impact for the team especially last week against Michigan. The 2023 Battlehawk who spent time with the Atlanta Falcons has been an instance upgrade in Donnie Abraham’s secondary, coming with key plays time and time again.
S: Leon O’Neal- Houston Roughnecks
At one point Leon O’Neal may have been the only bright spot in the Houston Roughnecks organization, prior to the emergence of Jalan McClendon. Leon has been a tone setter for the Roughnecks, making plays in the back end, in addition to being able to step up in the run fit.
Kicker: Rodrigo Blankenship- St. Louis Battlehawks
Nothing to really write about here, Blankenship has been perfect in 12 attempts in addition to hitting from 55 and 56. Blankenship has been an underrated weapon for the Battlehawks surely having his name back in the NFL workout cycle.
Punter: Marquette King Arlington Renegades
King the “elder statesman” of the UFL has been a key contributor in flipping the field for Renegades. In the UFL the punting rules are more in favor for Offenses, rather than the Punters, with King leading the league in punts inside the 20.
Long Snapper: Alex Matheson- St. Louis Battlehawks
Matheson has been an underrated specialist in the UFL/XFL that many people forget earned an NFL contract with the LA Rams in 2023. The combination of Blankenship being perfect and Hofrichter leading the league in punting average, along with the injuries to Jordan Ober, and Ryan Langen gives Matheson the nod.
Returner: Isiah Hennie-Memphis Showboats
There are a lot of options here, which speaks to the league’s ability to recruit high quality special teamers, but the recent “kick-6” for Hennie puts him over the edge for me. Between Devin Ross, Hennie, Chris Rowland, and Deon Cain the UFL may see an increase in 1,000 yard All-Purpose players in 2025.
